AYHA started a girls hockey program in 2000 with an intial team of eight members. Since that time, girls hockey has grown substantially and now supports two full teams. The fundamentals of hockey are stressed, including stick handling and positioning while maintaining a fun and positive atmosphere. The goal is to provide a venue where young girls can learn the great game of hockey and have appropriate age-level based teams. Travel to games occurs within a 60-120 mile radius with 20-25 games scheduled for each team. This year we are proud to announce a U-12 team!
