The Ashland Youth Hockey Association offers a fun, fast‑paced youth hockey program for players ages 4 –14. Our season typically runs from October through early March, giving kids a great way to stay active and engaged all winter long.

We field co-ed teams at multiple age and skill levels:

• 6U/8U (Mites): Introductory level focused on skating, basic skills, and having fun.
• 10U (Squirts): Builds teamwork and core hockey fundamentals.
• 12U (Peewees): Continued skill development with more competitive game play.
• 14U (Bantams): Advanced techniques, game strategy, and higher‑level competition.

AYHA is dedicated to providing an inclusive, supportive environment where every player can learn, grow, and discover a love for hockey.

AYHA also offers Learn to Skate (LTS) and Ice Explorer programs for those just starting their skating journey. These sessions are typically 1-2 times per week for an hour or less. They are instructor led to develop basic ice skating skills without any focus on hockey. More information coming soon.

When is practice?

The practice schedule will determined closer to the start of the season.

Typically teams practice three times weekly, with the exception of 6U/8U which is usually twice weekly.

Learn to Skate/Ice Explorers is typically two times weekly.
